In lunch you will always have a main meat dish that is served with bread, or baked flour items. Popular meat dishes include pungena or paprika which is peppered meat with rice and tomato sauce filled into peppers and baked. Dumplings with potatoes and cabbage and podvarak or stewed sauerkraut with meat and bacon pieces are also other famous dishes too. Barbequed meats also accompany dinner dishes. So, lunch is the fat meal regarding to the main dishes. Lunch in Serbia usually serves with fruit brandies which are depending on personal preferences. In dinner if there are no religious and family occasions, so, you will get normal light dinner.
